Per Lidar USA (www.lidarusa.com) LiDAR is "Light Detection and Ranging used to detect and measure the distance of an object or surface from an optical source. LiDAR differs from photogrammetry in that photogrammetry uses passive light and LiDAR employs and active laser system. LiDAR yields an intensity with the XYZ data to provide a black an white-like image."
Laser scanning is perhaps the most widely accepted means of obtaining highly accurate and comprehensive 3D data of an environment from ground observations. Modern laser scanners can collect 1,000,000 XYZ points per second at millimeter accuracy. Along with position the scanners collect intensity data as well resulting in a near black and white image. Additionally color imagery can be collected simultaneously providing life-like 3D model information viewable from any vantage point. This information is exploited through 3D measurement and modeling processes. The laser scanning is done with Lidar Technology.
In a world of rapid and continuous changes, with the need for accurate records of existing conditions to aid in implementing those changes, high resolution laser scanning with engineering discipline and know-how provides an unbeatable solution.
We offer this solution using the latest software and hardware to reduce physical data and provide you with the necessary documents to develop, grow and record your world.
Whether you need 2D base drawing plans, a 3D model, BIM details or Advertising purposed Fly-Through imagery our Lidar partnerships, tools and solutions technology combined with our engineering ability and tools can provide you with the details you need to make it all happen.
